This morning I woke up to an email from Shopbop advertising an additional 20% off their sale items with code “PLUS20″ and of course that made me a good hour late to work. That and the fact that millions of fashionistas are probably hounding the site which made it super slow. If you didn’t know already, Shopbop codes are super rare and when they give one out, RUN! “PLUS20″ is valid until Thursday March 6th (they are on central time so calculate accordingly).

FYI - For their items that are originally 70% off, now they are 76% off. For their items that are originally 50% off, now they are is 60% off. For their items that are 30% off , now they are 44% off.

Alright… it’s another Thursday where I need to leave work early to fight traffic to get to Beverly Hills Saks. As a last minute decision (perhaps to boost 1st quarter sales?), Saks is having a one of their infamous gift card events today. In case you didn’t know, the breakdown is as follows:

Spend $250 to $499, get $25
Spend $500 to $999, get $50
Spend $1000 to $1999, get $150
Spend $2000 to $2999, get $300
Spend $3000 or more, get $450

Today also marks the first day of their beauty event (which already started online earlier this week). Is it just me, or have both the gifts for Saks and Neiman Marcus been meager this Spring? I thought the economy was bad! Gimme my samples! Luckily, the samples for each individual department still has been pretty good.

Get your credit cards ready, girls, Neiman Marcus is starting their Beauty Event at their stores this Thursday (online has already started). If you go between 6pm - 8pm on Thursday to your local Neiman Marcus, there will also be a cocktail event! I went last year and there were yummy apple martinis and chocolate covered strawberries to help my shopping experience be more relaxing and pleasant.

This year the gift with any $100 purchase is this fabulous tote with various samples. You can also see the gift with purchase for all of their departments on the Neiman Marcus website right now.

I especially like the La Mer gift with delux samples of the Creme, Eye Concentrate, Concentrate, and Lotion. Of course I’m also look forward to the Chanel gift with the coveted Sublimage face cream. The Shu Uemura gift is also quite tempting with a full sized glossimer lipgloss!
